Ingredients as I saw them.
Cake looks a bit …moist… but oh well, let’s continue.
Powdered sugar twice over
I dusted the plate before I put the cake down – and once it had sat a little while, I picked it up and dusted under again. As you can see, the powdered sugar does a decent but not perfect job of wicking liquid from the cake.
Cake is light but it is wet. It fulfills the basic requirements for a cake but doesn’t give much more. Basic icing adds a lot here.
